Meet the teaching staff for 2005-2006

 

 

 

 

Mrs. Julie Bramos

Julie will be teaching our Preschool class. Julie and her husband Dan have 2 children - Hannah and Emily. Her daughter Hannah will be in Immanuel's Kindergarten program this year . Julie and her family live in Westchester and are members of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

  Mrs. Heidi Lundquist

Heidi will serve as our Kindergarten teacher for the third year. She graduated from the University of Houston and completed her colloquy through Concordia University in Austin, Texas. Heidi, Leonard and son Alex reside in Hoffman Estates. Alex will be in fifth grade this year here at Immanuel.
 

Lucretia Hardy

Lucretia and her husband Steve reside in Elmhurst. Their son Drew married this past June and resides in DeKalb and their daughter Rachael recently moved to Washington state. Steve has his own construction company. Lucretia will be teaching 1st & 2nd grade for the third year at Immanuel

  Donn Hempel

In 1988, Donn was called to serve as Immanuel's 5th & 6th grade teacher and serve as Immanuel Church's music director. He directs the choirs of Immanuel Church & School. Donn is currently serving in grades 3 & 4. Donn coaches Cross Country & Track. This will be Donn's eighteenth year here.
  Barbara Hudgins

Barbara will begin her sixth year here at Immanuel teaching fifth and sixth grades. Her children Jacob, grade 7 attends Immanuel School and Timothy will be a senior this year attending Walther Lutheran High School. Barbara and her family are residents of Berwyn.
 

Margaret Ulrich

Margaret will be teaching grades 7 & 8 for the third year at Immanuel. She lives in Palatine with her parents, two younger brothers and one younger sister. Margaret’s home church is Immanuel in Palatine but she will be splitting her time between both Palatine & Hillside.

  Dominga Heimsath

Dominga will be serving Immanuel as a part-time teacher’s aide for both PreK and Kindergarten for her third year. Dominga and her husband Steve are residents of Westchester and are members of Divine Providence in Westchester. Dominga speaks both English and Spanish fluently.
 

John Kyanka

John, a member of Immanuel, will be Immanuel’s part-time teacher’s aide for both PreK and Kindergarten for the third year. He is a certified Illinois substitute teacher obtaining his BS degree from Elmhurst College. He also serves as our Athletic Director. John attended Immanuel School from grades K through 8. He now resides in Elmhurst.

 

Mrs. Lana Hahn

Lana officially joined Immanuel as principal on July 15, 2005. Lana comes to Immanuel from Bethany Lutheran School in Naperville. For the past 12 years, she taught fifth-grade and served as the Intermediate Department Leader. Lana received her teaching degree at North Central College in Naperville, completed her colloquy at Concordia University in River Forest. She received a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from North Central. Lana finished the course work for an administrative certificate this summer.
Lana and her husband, Ron, have been married for 32 years. Although Ron and Lana both have roots in Ohio, they have lived in the Chicago area since 1986. In 2003, they moved into a townhouse in Naperville. Ron is a software salesman and has an office in the house. Lana and Ron have two grown daughters, Heather and Jennifer. Heather and her husband, Lew, live in Wheaton. They have two children, Ashleigh and Dylan. Heather teachers pre-school at St. John Lutheran School in Wheaton. Jennifer is engaged to be married in March, 2006. She lives in Baraboo, Wisconsin, and works in the hospitality industry.
Other than spending time with family and friends, Lana enjoys reading a variety of types of literature. She loves learning about new things. She also enjoys computers, walking, and traveling.
Lana and Ron look forward to getting to know everyone and becoming actively involved in the ministry at Immanuel Church and School.
