HARDY HEADLINES

 

Hardy Classroom Headlines                     

                                             
We are still working on following all the different rules and procedures of Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten.  Be sure to always look for your child's "Go for the Good Behavior Note".  It will always tell how you child behaved in the classroom.  Keep going for the green!
 
Thank you for working with the index cards.  It makes it much easier to know who goes to after care at the end of the day and who goes home.  Be sure and check your child's folder everyday.  Some of the work we do each day will come home in it.  Also any notes from the office or me will be in it.   This folder should be brought back to school every day.
  
This next week Pre-K will start working with shapes and color words.  Kindergarten has started their reading, we are learning "Aa" words and sounds.  In math we are sorting by same, different, shapes and colors.  Read to or with your child, point to the words as you read.  Labeling items in your house help them to relate the word to the object.  Even labeling the first letter of the object can help them relate the letter to how the word begins.
 
Have a safe and relaxing weekend.  See you on Tuesday.

Visit your child's classroom from 5:30 - 6:00 p.m.  Then join and meet other
parents for the PTL Potluck in the school gym.  Pre-K and Kindergarten are to bring a dessert to share for dinner.  See you there.
