Dear Parents,
 
Memory - The next Memory is Wednesday, May 19th.  "Call upon Me in the day of trouble, I will deliver you, and you will honor Me."  Psalm 50:15.
 
Spelling - The next Spelling tests are on Friday, May 21st.  First Grade words are:  friend, was, are, friends, people, my, would, want, were, about, play, and Christmas.  Second Grade words are:  don't, isn't, can't, that's, there's, I'm, they're, would've, didn't, wasn't, it's, here's, we're, I'd, they"ll.
 
Coming Up - The field trip to bowling is on Friday, May 21st.  Please be sure and send back your child's permission form.  Also that Friday is pizza day, the pizza will be delivered to the bowling alley.  If you do not order pizza, your child must bring a sack lunch.  NO FOOD will be allowed to be purchased at the bowling alley.
 
No School - We will be observing Memorial Day on May 31st and there will be no school.
 
If you are wondering about the stationery that I am using this week, here goes.  My husband and I became Grandparents on Mother's Day.  Kaylee Anne Hardy, 8lbs. 5oz. was born at 11:33 p.m. to my son and his wife.  I am so thrilled to finally be a grandmother, and can't wait to spend more time with her this summer!
