Bible Time Description

St. Paul writes in his letter to the Roman Christians the following:

"For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, 'The righteous shall live by fatih.'" (Romans 1:16-17)

As Lutheran Christians the Holy Bible is the source of our faith.  So we endeavor to provide opportunties for Bible Study as a part of our weekly events.  You may look under each category to see descriptions of what is currently being offered.

Confirmation Class

Confirmation Class is for Seventh and Eighth grade students who wish to become Confirmed members of Immanuel Lutheran Congregation.

Classes are meeting on Wednesday evenings starting at 6:30 P.M. for an hour.

Confirmation is a program where young people learn the major teachings of the Lutheran Church. One year they will learn the seven chief parts of the Lutheran faith as contained in Dr. Martin Luther's Small Catechism.  The other year they will spend time reading and discussing some of the key Biblical Events.  In addition to classroom meetings the young people involved in this program will be required to participate in worship activities, do memory work and service projects.

If you have a seventh or eighth grader who is interested in becoming a confirmed member of Immanuel please contact Pastor Vratny.

The Confirmation students and parents participated in the recent Westchester Crop walk.  Our seven students raised $853 for the Crop Walk.  25% of that money will help people here in our local community, while the rest will got help hunger world wide.  Thanks for your support of our young people and thanks to our young people for getting people to sponsor them on the walk.
